I came to Glasgow from Belfast for work and stayed for the city's old warehouse streets, which reminded me a little of home. On camera I like pointing out the details in the sandstone carving on the Merchant City's old trading buildings, since most of it survives even where the businesses inside have completely changed. I trained originally in interior design, so my eye tends to go straight to proportion and material rather than just names and dates. Guiding on video has taught me to describe texture carefully, since a viewer can't run a hand along a wall the way I can.
