Néstor Martín-Fernández de la Torre designed half the village I show people every week, and I never tire of explaining how a single painter shaped how this city presents itself. I trained as an art historian and spent years inside the Pérez Galdós theatre before I started guiding, first walking small groups through the building and now on camera. I like the discipline video forces on me, since I cannot gesture vaguely at a whole room and have to choose exactly which brushstroke or column to frame. French, English and Spanish all work for me, and I switch mid call without losing the thread of what I was saying.
