Catarina Reis

I grew up a short walk from the Roman temple and used to cut through its columns on the way to school without giving them much thought, the way you stop noticing something you see every day. It took living away from Evora to understand how rare it is to have a temple like that still standing in the middle of a working town. On camera I like to let the columns fill the frame slowly rather than rushing past them, because the scale only reads once you stop moving. I have guided here for eight years and the light on that stone still changes how I see it.
