Cem Aydemir

I was born in Ortakent and moved into Bodrum town for work, though I still go back most weekends for the market and my mother's garden. I trained as a guide through the amphitheatre and the old city walls, since that is the history I grew up hearing about rather than reading in a book. On camera I like to compare a ruin with something still standing nearby, so a viewer can see how the town has actually continued rather than simply stopped. My favourite stop is always the Myndos Gate, because so few visitors know it is even there.
