I have lived in Cihangir for a decade, in an apartment above one of the antique shops I now guide people through on camera. I trained to cover both Cihangir and Nişantaşı, since the two neighbourhoods sit close together but feel completely different, one full of secondhand shops and cafés, the other of newer boutiques. On camera I like comparing a shop window in each neighbourhood side by side, so viewers see the contrast rather than just hearing about it. I answer most questions about where locals actually shop rather than where visitors are usually sent.
