I used to study inside the old Archiginnasio, and I still bring my camera into its courtyard to show the walls covered in painted coats of arms left by centuries of students. I explain what the anatomical theatre upstairs looked like even though filming inside it is not allowed, describing the wooden tiers from photographs I hold up to the lens. My sessions run short and close, since I would rather linger properly on one detail than rush past ten. I keep my phone steady on a small tripod so the frame never shakes when I turn to point something out.
