Chiara Galli

I studied medieval fortification and Castelvecchio is where that training actually gets used, filming the fortress's brick towers and the battlemented bridge attached to it. My other session covers the bridge itself, Ponte Scaligero, rebuilt stone by stone using pieces recovered from the river after it was destroyed in the Second World War. I like explaining how a building can be both genuinely old and genuinely rebuilt at once. I keep a formal, careful pace and welcome technical questions about either structure.
