I grew up crossing Ponte Vecchio most days, so I know which angle shows the jewellers' shops built directly onto the bridge without them blocking the view of the water. I explain why the bridge survived deliberate destruction during the war when every other crossing in the city did not. I keep my camera moving slowly along the bridge itself, then turn to the river for a wider view. My sessions end at a quieter spot along the bank, since the bridge itself gets crowded fast.
