I trained in art history and wrote about Bernardino Luini's frescoes before I ever thought about guiding, so the Crucifixion inside Santa Maria degli Angioli is the work I most want people to see properly. On camera I hold the phone as steady as the church allows, since the fresco's scale only reads clearly if the frame stays still. At LAC, the city's newer cultural centre, I cover whatever contemporary exhibition is running, treating the building itself as part of the show. I keep both sessions slow and specific rather than rushing between rooms. I always leave time for questions about either period of art.
