Chiara Rota

I grew up in Boccadasse and still live a few doors from the pebble beach, so the quarter's tiny harbour is the place I know at every hour of the day. On camera I walk the narrow lanes down toward the water, explaining how this fishing village ended up inside a much larger city without losing its own character. In the morning session, I show the beach before the crowds arrive, when the fishing boats are still the main thing happening. I keep both sessions calm and unhurried, since Boccadasse rewards a slower pace than the busier port. I answer questions about the quarter's history throughout.
