Christine Bayer

I was a competitive swimmer as a teenager and trained for years in the pool built for the 1972 Olympics, so Olympiapark has always felt personal rather than purely historical. On camera I follow the tent-like roof structure across the park, explaining the engineering that made it so unusual for its time. My second session covers the tower and its view over the whole site, and my third looks at the quiet memorial for the athletes killed during the Games.
