I studied theology before I moved into guiding, and Berlin Cathedral is still the building I most enjoy explaining, from its large dome to the crypt housing generations of the Prussian royal family below. On camera I move slowly around the cathedral's exterior and along the small island it sits on, since the whole area rewards a careful, unhurried look. I keep a warm, fairly detailed pace and enjoy questions about the building's history and the royal family buried inside. Video suits large domed buildings particularly well, since the camera can hold on the scale of the structure far longer than a quick group tour usually allows.
