I trained as a walking guide before the pivot to video, and the change actually suited how I like to work, since I can hold the camera steady on one detail for as long as it takes to explain properly. Manneken Pis always gets a laugh from viewers who expect something grander, and I enjoy explaining why such a small statue became such a large symbol. I also guide through Cinquantenaire Park, where the arch and the museum buildings around it tell a different, more formal side of the city's history. I keep sessions warm and conversational rather than scripted.
