City Hall is where most of my sessions start, since Donegall Square is the easiest place in Belfast to explain how the city actually fits together. On camera I like to walk a full circuit of the building before moving anywhere else, since its scale only really makes sense once you've seen all four sides. I trained as a stonemason for a few years, so the carved detail on the building is what I tend to linger on longest. Guiding on video has taught me to talk more about what I'm showing, since a viewer can't just glance around the square the way you would standing there.
