Costas Papanikolaou

I grew up watching Bourtzi from my grandfather's boat, so the small fortress sitting out in the bay has always looked to me like part of the harbour's daily rhythm rather than a distant landmark. On camera I show the fortress from the water's edge, explaining how the Venetians built it to help guard the harbour entrance. I also walk the Arvanitia path along the cliff, a route I still take most mornings. I keep sessions relaxed and enjoy questions about the harbour and the coastline as much as the fortress itself.
