I spend most evenings around Witte de With, the street that gives the wider arts quarter its name, so I know which galleries stay open late and which bars fill first once the weather turns. My sessions there move slowly between a gallery window and a corner bar, and I try to explain what makes the street different from the busier centre nearby. I keep the pace relaxed rather than trying to cover too much ground in one call, since the street rewards a slower look.
