About Davide
Cyclist first, guide second. I have ridden the Via Appia Antica something like 900 times, mostly before work when I was an engineer at a telecom company in EUR. In 2020 I quit the office and started leading bike rides for friends of friends, then for strangers. I got my licence in 2021. I ride e-bikes with guests because the basalt paving on the Appia is rough and I would rather you look at the tombs than at your front wheel. German because I lived in Munich for three years. If it rains hard, I reschedule or refund, no discussion. You can now join my walks through Rome live on video, from any device, and ask me questions as we go.

How reviews work
Only travellers who booked and paid through Locals Guide and whose tour took place can leave a review, within 60 days of the tour. Every review is marked "Verified booking". We check reviews before they appear and publish positive and negative ones alike; we remove only reviews that break our rules (insults, personal data, unrelated content). Guides cannot pay for, edit or hide reviews, and ratings are the plain average of all published reviews.
