I grew up near the Sofia Synagogue, one of the largest in Europe, and I still enjoy explaining how it sits only a short walk from Banya Bashi Mosque and a Christian church, a stretch locals sometimes call the square of religious tolerance. On camera I move between the three buildings, pointing out how closely they sit together. I keep a formal, informative pace and welcome questions about Sofia's mixed religious history.
