I trained as a musician before I began guiding, and the Romanian Athenaeum is still the building I most enjoy showing, since its dome and columned entrance hint at the concert hall inside that I cannot bring the camera into during rehearsals. On camera I circle the building slowly, describing the frescoed interior from memory since I know the hall so well. I keep a warm, conversational pace and enjoy questions about the orchestra that performs there. Video works well for a domed building like this, since the camera can take in the whole facade in a single steady shot.
