I have worked as a guide around Valletta's fortifications for years, and Upper Barrakka Gardens is where I bring almost every session that touches on the Grand Harbour. On camera I like timing sessions around the midday gun fired from the Saluting Battery below, since the tradition dates back centuries and always draws a reaction. From the gardens you get one of the clearest views in Malta, across the harbour to the Three Cities on the far side. I studied tourism and have guided here for seven years.
