I have worked evenings along the riverside bars for years before ever guiding on camera, so I know exactly when that stretch fills up and when it stays quiet. On camera I walk the embankment once the bars light up, and on quieter afternoons I show a small distillery corner selling Boska, a herbal liqueur made in this region for over a century. Both sides of Banja Luka rarely show up in the same trip, which is part of why I keep them separate. Five years of covering both has made me fairly good at reading which mood a booking actually wants.
