Eleanor Pike

I taught English literature at a girls' school in Bristol for twenty-two years, and I have been a Mayor of Bath guide volunteer since I retired, which gave me a taste for it. Now I also take small paid groups, because some visitors want more time than a free walk allows, and because I cannot stop talking about Jane Austen, who lived here for five unhappy years and wrote about the town with a sharp pen. I live in a Georgian flat on Great Pulteney Street with more stairs than I would like. I speak English and French. I am precise about time and I will ask you to put your phone away at least once, in the Royal Crescent, because the view deserves it.
