I moved into an apartment overlooking the marina when it was still being built, so I watched this whole stretch of waterfront change from empty land into what it is today. On camera I start among the yachts and waterfront restaurants, explaining how the marina connects directly to the older town behind it, then follow the palm-lined Molos promenade toward the old harbour. I point out where the modern development stops and the older seafront begins, since the join is sharper than most visitors expect. I keep an easy walking pace, since the promenade itself is built for exactly that.
