Elisabeth Brandner

I studied art history and have always been drawn to the Goliathhaus, a merchant's house with a huge Renaissance mural still visible on its otherwise plain facade. On camera I hold close on the mural's fading paint, explaining what it would have meant to buyers walking past centuries ago. My second session moves to the Schottenkirche's carved portal, where the figures have puzzled historians for generations and I offer a few of the competing explanations. I keep a measured pace and enjoy questions that push past the obvious first answer.
