I have worked odd shifts on the Fjellheisen cable car in the past, so the ride up Mount Storsteinen is where I still feel most at home on camera. My main session rides the car and films the view over Tromsøya and the surrounding fjords from the platform at the top. A second, calmer session circles Prestvannet, the lake near the centre where I point out the birdlife that gathers on the water through the darker months. I keep both sessions grounded in what the light is actually doing that day, since up here the light itself is half the story.
