Fatima Noor

I was born in Cambridge to a Bangladeshi family who settled on Mill Road, and I split my sessions between the well-known university landmarks and the parts of the city that never make the postcards. Climbing Great St Mary's tower on camera is one of my favourite moments, since the view over the college roofs and the market square below rarely disappoints whoever is watching. I like explaining the city from the perspective of someone who grew up here rather than studied here, which visitors often tell me gives them a different picture than they expected. I answer questions as they come rather than sticking to a fixed script.
