I grew up eating the food I now show people on camera, and I still think Maastricht's kitchen is underrated next to its churches and squares. I keep my sessions practical and a little informal, holding the phone close on a stall or a shop window so you see texture and colour clearly. I do not perform for the camera, I just show what is actually there and say why it matters to people here. Evenings on the water are my other favourite subject, since the terraces along the Maas change completely once the sun goes down and the city gets noisy in a good way.
