I have worked evenings along the Cais de Gaia riverfront for years, first in a bar and now guiding, so I know exactly which terraces get busy and when. On camera I follow the quay as the port wine cellars behind it stay lit and the bars along the water fill with people. I point out which spots are genuinely local favourites and which cater mostly to visitors, based on what I have actually seen that week. I keep the camera steady in low light, checking the picture holds before moving between stops. I answer questions honestly, including when a particular terrace is not worth the wait.
