Francesca De Giorgi

I trained as a guide inside Lecce's old town, where the local stone turns gold in the evening light and every church front seems to compete with the next. On camera I like to stay close on the carving before pulling back, so you see how the masons layered garlands, saints and grotesques into stone that looked plain from across the square. I studied art history in Bologna before coming home, and I still get asked more questions about the facades than anything else I show. Filming here means slowing down, since the detail rewards a longer look than a quick pass.
