Freja Lindqvist

I grew up in Haga and watched the district shift from a slightly rough industrial edge to one of Gothenburg's most visited streets for cinnamon buns and old wooden houses. My main session walks Haga's main street and the courtyards behind it, explaining which buildings survived redevelopment in the 1980s and which were rebuilt to match. A second, evening session moves to Linnégatan nearby, where the bars and restaurants fill up once the day trade closes. I like connecting the two, since one street feeds into the other almost without a break, and both tell a similar story about a working-class district changing hands.
