The National Railway Museum is free to enter, which means I can actually take a camera through the halls rather than just describing them from outside. I like lingering on the former royal carriages longest, since the detail inside is easy to miss if you walk past too quickly. I worked for a heritage railway before guiding became my main job. I keep the pace slow through the main hall and let questions about specific locomotives run as long as they need to.
