I grew up near the main pedestrian street, and Dzhumaya Mosque is still the building I most enjoy showing, since it has stood beside the street's shops and cafes since the Ottoman period without ever losing its original function. On camera I move between the mosque and the street itself, pointing out how differently the two eras of building sit together. I keep a brief, relaxed pace and take questions about the mosque's history as we go. Video suits a busy pedestrian street well, since the camera can hold steady on one building while people pass by naturally.
