My family has run boats on Lake Lugano for two generations, so Gandria and the water between it and the city are what I know best on camera. I ride the boat out slowly, letting the pastel houses of Gandria stack up the hillside as we approach. Back on land, I also walk Parco Ciani's palm-lined paths, since the two sessions together show both sides of how Lugano relates to its lake. I keep my explanations grounded in the lake itself rather than only the buildings beside it. I answer questions about the water and the villages equally.
