Hannah Dircks

I trained in art history and spent several years working front of house at the Kunsthalle before I started guiding full time. On camera I stay close to a handful of paintings from the German Romantic period, explaining what made Bremen's private collectors back this kind of work early. I also step outside briefly to show the building's own extension, added decades after the original nineteenth century structure. I keep each session focused on a small number of works rather than trying to cover the whole collection. Video guiding suits a gallery well, since the camera can hold still on a single canvas longer than a group ever would.
