My uncle keeps a small cellar near the old walls and let me help label bottles as a teenager, which is how I first learned to talk about Alentejo wine without sounding like a catalogue. On a video session I show the amphorae and the oak barrels up close and explain what each one does to the wine ageing inside it, and in the evening I take the camera out to the square instead, where the cafe terraces fill up as it cools. I never promise a taste through the screen, only an honest look at how the wine gets made and where people go once the sun sets.
