Henrik Aasen

Hei! I am Henrik, a trained chef and a mountain guide, which in Norway is not such a strange mix. I cooked for six years in Oslo restaurants, including one where we foraged our own herbs in Nordmarka, the forest north of the city. In winter I teach cross-country skiing, and in summer I lead hikes. I grew up in Lillehammer and moved to Oslo for the kitchens, and I stayed for the forest, which starts at the end of the metro line. I speak Norwegian and English. My tours are about the two things I love: food and the outdoors. I am enthusiastic and I talk a lot, but I also like silence in the forest. Now I show Oslo live on a video call, phone in hand, and I answer questions as they come.
