I studied Roman history and the Serdica Ruins are still the site I most enjoy explaining, since excavated Roman streets sit exposed right beneath and around a modern metro station in the city centre. On camera I move along the exposed stonework, pointing out where Roman Serdica's streets once ran beneath what is now central Sofia. I keep a formal, informative pace and welcome specific questions about the ancient city beneath the modern one. Video suits an excavation like this particularly well, since the camera can trace a street plan a quick glance would never notice.
