Rue Solférino empties and refills completely depending on the hour, and I like showing viewers the difference between its quiet afternoon and its packed evening. I studied in Lille and spent years going out on these same streets before I started filming them instead. On a call I keep the phone steady and let the bars' own noise fill in details I would otherwise have to describe myself. I reply fast and prefer short exchanges over long explanations, which suits streets that rarely stay still. French and English are both fine with me.
