I have worked as a caretaker at properties around the Alcázar for over a decade, so the castle's silhouette against the sky is something I still notice every single morning on my way to work. On camera I walk the meadow below the castle rather than the courtyard itself, since that angle actually shows the building's famous shape better than standing right beside it. I explain the restoration work that followed a fire in the nineteenth century and what parts of the castle are original versus rebuilt. I answer questions plainly, since the building's history has enough drama without needing embellishment.
