Ilaria Capasso

I studied art history in Naples and now spend most of my working time between two very different collections, a small chapel and a vast archaeological museum. From the doorway of the Cappella Sansevero I describe the Veiled Christ inside in enough detail that viewers understand what makes the marble so unusual, even without stepping past the entrance myself. At the archaeological museum I stay in the Pompeii rooms specifically, since the finds there connect directly to a city most visitors will also go on to see for themselves.
