Truso Valley is where I spend most of my free time, so it made sense to bring a phone along once people started asking what was actually out there past Stepantsminda. On camera I keep to the valley floor near the mineral springs, since the ground gets unstable higher up, and I explain what remains of the villages that were abandoned along the border. I studied geology before I started guiding, so I can point at a spring and tell you roughly what is dissolved in it. I keep narration measured and factual, and I leave space for questions once we reach a good stopping point.
