I trained as a historian before I started guiding, and I still build every session the way I would a short lecture, with a clear line from one point to the next. Maastricht has more Roman and medieval fragments than most visitors expect, and I like using the camera to hold on a single stone or wall long enough for the age of it to sink in. I answer questions directly and do not mind being asked something I need to think about first. My video sessions run at a measured pace, which suits people who want to actually learn something rather than watch a city pass by.
