Isabel Serrano

I studied the history of Toledo's Jewish community at university and have kept researching it long after graduating, mostly because the city calls itself the City of Three Cultures without always explaining what that actually meant. On camera I walk the old Judería, pointing out details in the two surviving synagogues and the streets around them. I am careful to separate what is documented from what is popular legend, since this history attracts a fair amount of both. I keep the pace slow, since most of what I show rewards a careful look rather than a quick pass.
