Isla Fraser

I trained as a chef before I started guiding, so food is always part of how I read a street. On the Royal Mile I point the camera at small things, a baker's window, a smell you can't send through a screen but can describe properly. I grew up in Leith and moved to the Old Town for university, so I know both halves of this city well. On video I keep the pace slower than I would face to face, because a viewer at home needs a second longer to take in a close than someone standing right there does.
