Ivan Radić

I have held a Dubrovnik guiding licence since 2011. Before that I taught history at the gymnasium in Gruž, and I still think of every tour as a lesson with fewer exams. I was a child during the siege of 1991 and 1992, and my family spent part of that winter in the cellar of a house on Prijeko. I talk about it plainly because visitors ask, and because the scars on the Stradun paving are easy to miss. My main walk starts on the city walls at opening time, before the cruise ships unload, then continues through the Franciscan monastery cloister and the Rector's Palace. I also lead a harder afternoon on Srđ hill and the Imperial fortress. I speak French from four years in Lyon.
