Ivan Zovko

I am Catholic and grew up attending services at the Franciscan church here, so its bell tower has always felt like part of my own history rather than a landmark. On camera I explain why it was built taller than anything else in the country, then move to the modern square nearby to talk about how differently the two sides of town were rebuilt after the war. My second session goes further into that period, through the war museum's exhibits and along streets that were once the front line. I try to explain this history plainly and without exaggeration, since I think the facts alone are usually enough.
