Javier Used

I studied medieval history and spent a season working as a volunteer guide inside the Aljafería Palace before training to guide properly on camera. On camera I walk its horseshoe arches and courtyards, the best-preserved Islamic-era building in northern Spain, and separately I trace the surviving stretches of Zaragoza's Roman wall near the river. I like connecting the two, since together they show how many different powers have built into this same stretch of ground. I keep my explanations grounded in what the stone itself shows rather than the more romantic stories attached to either building.
