Joonas Räsänen

I have skied Ounasvaara most winters since I was a child, and I still know which part of the hill gives the clearest view back over the city and the river below it. On camera I climb slowly, explaining how the slopes double as a park in summer once the snow clears. I trained as a ski instructor and still teach some weekends when I am not guiding. I keep sessions unhurried, since the view changes with every stretch of trail and rushing it would miss most of what makes the hill worth showing.
