I trained as a guide inside the Hofburg's collections before the pivot to video, so the palace rooms and the history behind them stay close to memory even when I am filming from outside its walls now. On camera I like tracing the short walk from the palace to the cathedral, since both were shaped by the same Habsburg patronage within a few decades of each other. I speak French comfortably, useful given how many questions I still get about the Habsburgs' wider European connections. I run a calm, detailed session and enjoy the planning calls just as much as the filmed ones.
