Architecture is what pulled me into guiding, and Marseille gives me an unusual range of it within a short walk, from a concrete lattice built decades ago to a nineteenth century palace built to celebrate water. On camera I like holding on a single detail, a join in stonework or a pattern in concrete, longer than feels natural, because that is usually where the real explanation lives. I studied art history before I ever picked up a phone to guide with, and I still check a date against a written source before saying it out loud. I speak French, English and some Italian.
